The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns multiple international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He told me to compete, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to wider groups, specifically among younger fans.
Kai has millions of followers and recently launched a personal fashion and living brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
