FC Barcelona to Host Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
