The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his team members.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
