Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down following standard protocol and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to return to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
